Omnes Capital manages a new FCPI fund: Capital Invest PME 201

For immediate release – April 12, 2013

Omnes Capital (formerly Crédit Agricole Private Equity) is managing an FCPI fund (mutual fund investing in innovative companies), which allows individual investors to benefit from tax provisions relating to wealth tax and income tax under the TEPA law.

Capital Invest PME 2013 has been marketed to clients of LCL Banque Privée since 28 March 2013.

The Capital invest PME 2013 fund will invest 80% of its assets in innovative European SMEs in the information technologies and life sciences sectors. This is above the quota for previous years, and will enable investors to benefit from a reduction in wealth tax and income tax of up to 40% of the amount invested. In order to allow for flexible management and maintain an optimum level of liquidity, the remaining 20% will be invested in money market assets and bonds to provide a reserve for any reinvestments in companies in the portfolio.

Omnes Capital has collected around €300 million via its FCPI funds since 2008, with investments by over 25,000 private investors. To date, these funds are committed to financing over 60 innovative SMEs, mainly in the new technologies and life sciences sectors.

With assets under management of €410 million, Omnes Capital is one of the key players in France in financing innovative SMEs via management of its FCPI funds.

The team’s solid performance in 2012, in terms of new investments, reinvestments and asset sales, demonstrates the momentum of the sector and confirms the relevance of these products, dedicated to financing innovation,” comments Michel de Lempdes, co-head of the Venture Capital team at Omnes Capital.
